The struggle for gay rights in Europe has been going on for years but in Romania, it’s only just starting. Many Romanians believe homosexuality is a perverted disease and see gay rights as a corrupting Western ideal.

Such a pity that the Romanians who are homophobic, and relate it to “western decadence” are, no doubt, some of the very people who come to the UK and other “liberal” western countries and quite happily avail themselves of what we have to offer, whether it be state aid, or medical services.
In conjunction with this, there is a disproportionate amount of eastern Europeans who come to the UK and embark on a life of crime. Clearly our tolerant and liberal society is “ripe pickings” for some of them. Shame on those that are hypocritical abusers of hospitality and deniers of basic human rights. And they wish to be welcomed into the EU…………… more power to those of all orientations who demonstrate.
