PARTY BLOGGER TAKES AIM AT GAY DAYS
Video blogger Tony Hayden of tonyhayden.com has some questions for the annual June circuit party One Mighty Weekend held in his home town of Orlando , Florida . Three years ago when promoter Johnny Chisholm of “Oz” nightclub New Orleans took over the 3-day weekend celebration of spectacular main events, pool parties and after-hour dances, he named the Elton John AIDS Foundation as a beneficiary. “Every party weekend on the circuit calendar funds and fuels the HIV and AIDS resources from that area”, Hayden says. “It grosses over one million dollars in admission and passes alone, yet there has never been a disclosure what the partial donation is.” Vlogger Hayden’s concern is for the local Central Florida AIDS resources that could benefit greatly from a possible divided beneficiary as described in his newly produced youTUBE appeal.

You are doing a good job here. We have asked this question for years and years. It is part of the reason my I once got involved with Gay Days, and then later threw in the f(*(king towel and bailed out. After working with those greedy clowns I had had enough after about a year or two of their bullshit.
Go back farther Tony - - and get to know how the Gay Days guys literally stole the weekend from the Orlando GLBT community when they as board members sold the name to themselves in a way. It is part of the reason Doug Swallow who actually founded Gay Day got so pissed off becuase they later tried (and I would argue have succeeded) in rewriting the history of who founded the event. So, go deeper Tony.
..and then head to the Pensacola GLBT community to see how JC took their local fundraising event which once supported HIV/AIDS charities and stole that deal. Not a bad plan considering they had for the most part already had full control of Halloween New Orleans and its profis.
The TRAGIC thing is that once they took over these events and made them all bigger/ better? / huger? …is that they have always SAID they would support GLBT charities (I.e. used it all in their personal marketing!) ….
Same old Johnny Chisholm…..all this makes it more easy to understand how once he had rolled over the New Orleans Halloween Committee, he continued with his take over or buy out (etc) of the Press (Cheesy old Ambush Magazine)….and then the Art for Aids People and Committees of Pensacola, Florida…..and then alter biggerthan thou ego Jeffrey Sanker on the West Coast (good riddance) …and then the Reunion Guys who forced many of the old changes, and then Mark Baker the Cash Cow Business, and then the theifs who stole Gay Day and made it Gay Days only to now ONLY be referenced to as “OMW” , and then to steal literally from Elton John Aids Foundation and those who it serves, and on and on.
…and we as GLBT community organizers are left to ask and scream and wonder –WHY?
Ask Mr. Chisholm to stop marketing his fricking events in the name of good deeds — he is NOTHING short of a thief.
