On a gloomy gothic estate in 19th century England, young aristocrat Erik Durant struggles to hide his forbidden love for Alex, his family’s handsome gardener. But little does Erik understand that his ice queen mother has her own secrets, including a lesbian affair with Erik’s governess Madeleine, who may or may not be a demonic succubus! And that’s just the beginning in this tale of lust, deception and the supernatural.
Desire Street is the latest film co-directed by Roberto F. Canuto and Xu Xiaoxi. It is a Thesis graduation film part of the NYFA program at Universal Studios (Hollywood). Produced by Andrew Ahn, it was shoot in 2009 and it is in the post-production process.
Desire Street tells three stories of a family (mother, daughter and son) and how they try to survive through their loneliness and obsessions by going through different sexual experiences and relationships with their new neighbor, a prostitute.
